What we are finding is that the demand for non rideable horses is sadly low. We maybe adopt 2-3 unrideable horses out every year. The reality is, when people want to adopt a horse and put money into them, typically that means to ride. This leaves a massive amount of perfectly amazing, happy, healthy horses with no where to go but to a rescue type program, or sanctuary. We want to develop a type of program where ANYONE from around the world, can adopt one of these horses as one of their own for whatever length of time they financially see fit. It is more than a sponsorship, it is ownership. By adopting one of our RFR horses, they become yours for the length of time of the adoption.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS: Whether you are an individual, a family, a classroom, or a business, you can adopt one of, or several of our Retired From Riding horses. You simply scroll from our list of available horses and choose who you feel connected too that you would like to adopt.

WHAT IT ENTAILS AND COSTS: The adoption fee is $150 a month and goes towards that horses feed and general day to day care. You will have access to our team where we will provide you update photos and videos ANYTIME to share with your friends, family, refrigerator and social media platforms. When the horse is due for farrier, dental, vaccinations or any other medical needs, we will let you know and at that point you will have the option to pay a portion of, none of, or all of the balance.

HORSE FACETIME AND VISITS: You will be able to visit your horse by appointment only as well as schedule FaceTime visits to drop in and say hi to see how they are doing.

TREATS AND HORSE GIFTS: This is your horse! Spoil the heck out of them! Anything you send them will go directly to them. From treats, blankets, fly masks, custom halters, lead ropes, de-wormer, etc. PAMPER THEM!

ADOPTION PLAQUE: Once a horse has been adopted for a total of 6 months by the same individual, a special plaque will be placed on their stall with the Adoptors Name and Horses Name, something like this "LOVED BY MS. Fischers Class!'

WHAT IF THEY GET ADOPTED: If the slim chance happens where someone falls in love with your RFR horse you will be notified, but only if it is the most amazing fit EVER for them. Ultimately we WANT our horses to find the best homes they can. This will allow you to open your heart up to another one of our horses to love and spoil!
