These heirloom pins were created from the heart to honor two incredibly special lives—one who spent years changing children’s lives and one whose life ended far too soon.

Lamorse: Our Little Unicorn

Lamorse was one of our original rescues, joining the ASIAB family in 2018.

For years, she was an irreplaceable part of our therapy program. Lamorse had a way of taking children who were frightened of horses and gently turning them into children who loved them. She was patient, kind and completely trustworthy—the type of horse who understood what a child needed before anyone had to ask.

She was not simply a therapy horse. She was part of our family.

We lost Lamorse unexpectedly to colic, leaving behind an emptiness that will never truly be filled. Her impact, however, will continue through every child she comforted and every person who was fortunate enough to love her.

Lamorse was always our little unicorn. We loved decorating her mane with flowers, which inspired the delicate floral heart across her hindquarter. Every detail of this pin was designed to represent the magic, gentleness and love she brought into our lives.

Baby Hunter: The Littlest Life With a Lasting Legacy

Baby Hunter was rescued with his mother at the September auction.

For nearly three weeks, he appeared healthy. His illness came suddenly, and we immediately transported him to the hospital. His tiny body fought for almost five days, surrounded by an incredible veterinary team doing everything possible to save him.

Tragically, the inflammation in his lungs was more than his little body could overcome.

Hunter’s life was far too short, but it was not insignificant. He was loved. He mattered. His story touched thousands of people who hoped, prayed and fought alongside him.

His pin was designed to capture the features we never want to forget—his tiny body, sweet expression and wonderfully fluffy ears. A small heart rests on his hindquarter as a reminder that even the littlest lives can leave the biggest marks on us.
