Lily came to us in August 2026 after being found by a horse trader. We do not know whether she came from a low-end auction or was purchased from someone’s backyard. The truth is, we may never fully know her story.

What we do know is that Lily is approximately 25 years old, incredibly sweet and severely underweight. Despite everything her body has endured, she remains gentle, trusting and grateful for every bit of kindness she receives.

We are doing everything we can to help Lily safely gain weight, but her X-rays revealed significant and heartbreaking damage. We do not know how much time we will have with her. Our priority is not asking her body for more than it can give—it is keeping her comfortable, supported and surrounded by love.

One of Lily’s greatest needs right now is deep, soft bedding. Shavings provide cushioning for her aging and fragile body, giving her a comfortable place to stand, rest and lie down as she continues receiving proper nutrition and individualized care.

Lily may not be with us for years, but every day she has matters.
