Clyde was only three years old when we pulled him from the slaughter pipeline.

Three.

Still just a baby himself.

Before that, his life had already been decided for him. He was pushed into the rodeo world as a bucking horse, expected to perform, travel, and entertain long before he ever really had the chance to simply be a horse. Then, just like so many others in that industry, the moment his future became uncertain, he ended up discarded into the auction pipeline.

That is where we stepped in.

We rescued Clyde from shipping to slaughter in June of 2023, and today he is officially six years old and a permanent resident at our Texas facility.

Clyde is one of those horses people instantly connect to. There is a softness to him that stops you in your tracks once you know where he came from and how young he truly was when his life was almost cut short.

He should have had years ahead of him.
Instead, he nearly lost everything before adulthood.

Now his story looks different.

Instead of being loaded onto another truck headed toward an unimaginable ending, Clyde wakes up every day safe. He has consistency. Care. Open space. People who know his name and love him for who he is — not for what he can produce.
